Kids are back to school, but we enjoy the last week off playing with dough salt. We had a lot of fun doing animals, cars and even candle holders. This is a super simple activity, if you forget the recipe,here it is:
mix 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of water to make the dough.
Los niños están de vuelta en la escuela, pero aprovechamos la última semana de descanso para hacer masa de sal. Nos divertimos los tres haciendo animales, coches e incluso candelabros. Este es una actividad super simple, si se les olvidaron la receta, aquí está: mezclar 2 tazas de harina, 1 taza de sal y 1 de agua para hacer la masa.
Once the figures are made, let dry for 12 hours and then put in the oven (minimum heat) for 1-2 hours.
To make the candlesticks, I just made dough ball and stick a candle in the center to make the hole.
Una vez hechas las figuras, dejar secar durante 12 horas y luego poner en el horno (temperatura mínima) durante 1 a 2 horas. Para hacer los candelabros, solo hice una bola de masa y use una vela para hacer el agujero en el centro.
Once the figures have cooled, you can paint them.
Una vez que las figuras se han enfriadas, se pueden pintar.
Et voila! To hang the figures you can stick a paper clip in the dough before drying it!

The kids used acrylic paint, and I use oil paint for the candlesticks.
