Hello Vicky, the size of the planter depends of the plastic bottle size you can find…it may be hard to find a big one to fit your fern in. I made an rolling planter using fabric and it’s perfect for large plants…it’s quite simple to make and it turns any ugly plastic pot into a nice decor element. You can have a look at the DIY here.
