A little makeover of an old dresser to use it in my girl’s bedroom. I bought this dresser in a garage sale. It originally has an the upper part with glass and mirror to display dinnerware. I took if of and only keep the bottom with the drawers. It was brown and ugly…not what you what to have in a little girl room. So I clean it, sand it and paint it. I also took of the handles off and, after a good clean, I spray painted them in pink.
*UPDATE* I’s been more than 6 years that I upgraded this dresser, and it’s still in my girl bedroom in perfect shape.

Thanks!
Oh my goodness, I am in LOVE. I never thought about adding just a pop of color with the handles. You have just changed my life 🙂
Glad you like it and if it inspires you, even better!
Hi, What make/color is the dresser paint? Very nice!
Thank you! The color is cocoa brown from Berel paint…If you need the exact reference (numbers and letters)let me know, I must have it somewhere!
I'm not a fan of brown so probably would have chosen a different color and painted some artwork inside the panels.
I didn't thought about adding artwork … it could be interesting!
Ama, what type of primer did you use? Also, did you sand it?
Hi Ash,
I sanded and cleaned it. Then I used a Berel paint primer "Fondo alquidálico blanco para madera" (sorry, don't know if you can find this brand outside Mexico). Then I sanded it lightly again (primer was a very thick paint). To finish, I applied two coat of color paint. That's it! Have a nice WE
