To get started on making your mini Christmas tree, make sure to collect all the supplies you’ll need for the project.

You can also collect various decorative items to jazz up your mini tree, such as colorful beads, quirky buttons, a string of LED fairy lights, or even some sparkly glitter stars.

How to DIY Mini Christmas Tree

1. To start off, grab a paper roll and cut it so it lays flat on your workspace.

2. Next, take a pencil and trace a quarter circle using one corner as the center point.

3. Once you’ve got that shape outlined, go ahead and cut it out.

4. Now, take that quarter circle and roll it up into a cone shape, securing the edges with some glue to keep it from unraveling.

5. Repeat this process to create a second cone. Trim the tip of one of the cones.

6. Apply white glue all over the cones and wrap them with yarn to cover the cardboard completely; I recommend using some soft Velvet Yarn for a cozy touch.

7. Grab a skewer to serve as the trunk of your tree, and slide the trimmed cone down a few centimeters onto the skewer, securing it with a dab of hot glue.

8. Add a bit more glue to the top of the skewer and attach the second cone to complete your tree shape.

9. Trim the bottom of the skewer with pliers or scissors.

10. Next, take a piece of cardboard and draw out some small circles for the tree base; you can use the bottom of a glass or a roll of tape as a guide.

11. Cut out the three circles and stack them on top of each other with glue.

12. Poke a hole in the center of this stack, add a dot of glue, and push the skewer from the tree trunk into the hole to secure it.

13. Finally, get creative with the base of your tree! You can wrap it in twine, paint it, or sprinkle some glitter for extra sparkle.
