Gather Your Materials
To begin creating your elegant wreath, start by gathering all the materials you’ll need for this project.
- Toilet paper rolls
- Paper sheets
- Metallic hoop
- Half wooden beads
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Pencil
- Ruler
If you find yourself without half wooden beads from the material list, don’t worry! You can easily substitute them with buttons or felt pom poms to create the center of your flower. This way, you can still achieve a beautiful result while using what you have on hand.
I used about 4 to 5 toilet paper rolls for this craft. So you have an idea of how many you’ll need to gather before starting your wreath.
Once you have all your materials in front of you, you are ready to move on to cutting and shaping the rolls, transforming them into the building blocks of your beautiful wreath.

Cutting and Shaping the Rolls

To create the flowers, begin by flattening a toilet paper roll and cutting it along the two creases to have two identical pieces.

Begin by taking one of the two pieces of cardboard and laying it on a sheet of paper.
You will need to draw two rectangles on the paper: the first should be 2 cm wider than the cardboard, while the second should be 2 cm narrower.
Remember that the lengths of the paper and the half cardboard roll are the same.

To begin, you need to glue the two paper pieces to the cardboard.
Start by folding all three components in half lengthwise and then unfold them.
Apply glue along the edge of the cardboard and carefully position one edge of the smaller paper rectangle against it, ensuring both edges are aligned.
Next, fold the paper rectangle and glue the opposite edge to secure it.
After that, fold the cardboard and glue its edges together as well.
Finally, take the larger piece of paper and align its edges with the cardboard. Then, glue it down on each side to complete the assembly.

This what you must have a this point, 3 layers with them edges glue together.
If you have any doubt, watching the video tutorial will, without a doubt, help.

Using a ruler, make marks every cm along the edge.
Using your sharp scissors, carefully cut the toilet paper rolls into strips of equal width. You will end up with 9-10 pieces to make the flower petals.

Once you have cut all the rolls, you can start shaping them to create the flower petals.
Then glue them one by one to put together the flower.
Feel free to create as many flowers as you like; I made five for my wreath. I chose white paper to give the DIY wreath a wintery feel, but you can experiment with any color of paper that suits your taste.

To create some leaves for the wreath, take another toilet paper roll and flatten it. Use a ruler to mark 1 cm intervals along the roll, then cut it into slices.

Simply fold the cardboard roll slice in half and apply a small dot of glue to secure it. You can make as many leaves as you desire to enhance your wreath’s decoration.
Assembling the wreath
Once you have all your components ready, arranging them on the metallic hoop to create a visually appealing design is the final step in assembling the wreath.
By playing around with the placement of the flowers and leaves, you can showcase your artistic flair and make the wreath truly unique.

Once you are happy with your design, use hot glue to fix each element on the hoop.
Ensure everything is securely attached before moving on to hanging the wreath.
Hang the Wreath
To hang the wreath, loop a piece of ribbon or twine through the top of the wreath and tie it securely.
Make sure the knot is tight to ensure the wreath stays in place once hung.
Consider the location where you want to display your wreath – whether it’s on a door, a wall, or a mantelpiece – and adjust the length of the ribbon or twine accordingly.
Once the wreath is hung, step back and admire your handiwork.

Now that you’ve successfully hung your wreath, let’s move on to exploring different variations and adding the finishing touches to make it truly stand out.
Variations and Finishing touches
Let’s explore some variations to add a unique touch.
Consider painting the toilet paper rolls or using colored paper sheets to craft the flowers before assembling them into the wreath for a more vibrant look. You could also incorporate other materials, such as artificial greenery or even small dried flowers, to enhance the overall design.
For the finishing touches, try adding a bow made from ribbon at the top of the wreath for a touch of elegance. Consider attaching a small wooden initial or a decorative ornament to personalize the wreath further.
Don’t be afraid to get creative and experiment with different embellishments to make your wreath truly stand out. Once you’re satisfied with the final look, step back and admire your unique creation.
In the world of crafting, the possibilities are endless – even with something as everyday as toilet paper rolls. By following a few simple steps, you can create a wreath that adds elegance and charm to your home decor.
So, give it a try and see what you can create! With a dash of creativity and the right materials, you can turn the ordinary into something extraordinary.
Make your mark on your space and let your imagination run wild. Who knows what other treasures you can uncover by thinking outside the box!
