One of the things I like the most at Christmas time is setting up a nice table with decorations and beautiful cutlery.
I don’t know how Christmas Eve will be this year, but I bet that we will avoid making big reunions. This doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy a good meal around a pretty table.

Today, I share a super easy DIY to give a festive touch to your Christmas table.
This pretty napkin ring has the shape of a Christmas tree and it’s super easy to make. You just need felt and the free template.
You can use it as a napkin ring or a cutlery holder. I have to confess that I don’t know what I prefer. How would you like to use it?
You can choose the felt color you like and that fit well with your table decor. Red or green if you like traditional colors, black or gray if you want to create a Christmas atmosphere for modern and Scandinavian. Pastel shades are also a good option for modern and soft decor.

Print the pattern, and cut out the tree shape. Cut also the two horizontal lines in the tree center.
Pin the template on the felt and cut the tree shape. If you prefer you can also report the tree shape on the felt with a fabric pencil, then remove the template and cut the felt.
I find it quite tedious to draw on felt fabric so I cut the felt directly following the pinned template. Choose the option that works best for you.
Cut also two notches following the center lines.
And done. All you have to do is to slide the napkin or the cutlery through the felt tree.
I tried different ways to fold the napkin until I liked how it looks.
You can place the napkin ring over the plate or on one side. Have fun trying different settings and find the one that works for your table.
